Peculiarities of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in infertile patients with clomifen-resistant form of polycystic ovarian syndrome and obesity

Medical ovulation induction with clomiphene citrate is currently the first line treatment for anovulatory women PCOS. Clomiphene resistance (failure to ovulate after taking clomiphene) common, occurring in approximately 15% 40% of Resistance associated an increased body mass index. The aim study was elucidate characteristics carbohydrate and lipid metabolism patients clomiphene-resistant PCOS obesity. Material methods. A comprehensive examination 97 infertile obesity 46 conditionally healthy normoovulatory control group K 18.5 ≤ index (BMI) < 25 kg/m2, without clinical or biochemical signs hyperandrogenism, ovarian volume less than 9 cm3 previously known endocrine disease. Clinical-anamnestic, anthropometric, sonographic, immunochemical, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, colorimetric, statistical research methods are used. Results discussion.
